  Nothing extraordinary.

And yet—

There was something about her presence.

Soft.

Warm.

Like sunlight…

That didn’t know it was being taken for granted.

Behind her—

Gunjan’s voice echoed.

"Oh wow! Ready to impress the CEO huh!?"

Sai closed her eyes and exhale sharply." Ho gaya tera!? Now get out of my side"

Gunjan again said" uh-oh- Sach chub gaya meri behen ko"

Sai said sternly. " jaisi tu waisi teri soch."

Gunjan's smile faltered.

"What do you mean!?"

Sai turned this time.

Eyes soft.

But words sharp.

“Cheap.”

Silence.

Before Gunjan could react—

A voice interrupted.

“Sai!”

Amrita.

Standing at the door.Confident.

Fearless.Alive.Sai’s face softened instantly.

“Amu…”

Gunjab muttered under her breath." Ek kam thi jo ab dusri wali bhi aa gyi. Typical aunty's"

Amrita threw daggers at her." Woh kiya na choti. Hum teri tarah dusro k support pe nahi chalte.we know how to take stand for ourselves. Aur rahi Baat aunty type ki toh tu toh hum auntiyon ki amma lagti hai".

Sai laughed.

Gunjan’s smile dropped. Before she could say anything further. Said interrupted." Chal amu- office chod de mujhe Phir tu bhi jana". And dragged Amrita with her.

Gunjan sood in the middle of hallway seeing their retreating figure and whispered. " Krishav Raghuvanshi toh mera hoke rahega sai by hook or crook"

~In Raghuvanshi Enterprises.~

The office was loud.

Too loud.

Keyboards,phone,printers, footsteps.

Everything was normal. Until the storm arrived.

Krishav Raghuvanshi seating in his cabin. Calm. Composed. Organised.

"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS REPORT MAYA!? Have you fucking lost your mind!?" Krishav Shouted.

Maya flinched. Fear and sweat was dripping from her face.

"S-sir i-i didn't" Maya was interrupted.

"Shut up"

Every eyes turned toward the source of voice.

Sai.

Standing near the cabins door. Arms crossed. Glaring at Maya as if she was going to set her on fire.

"Sir. The real reports. And the reports Maya gave you was exchanged.  I don't know if it was intentionally but see this" Sai said and forwarded her laptop to krishav.

He froze.

The reports were changed.

Admin: Maya kapoor

Time: 11.30 am

"I was logged out of the document for ten minutes and this reports were changed in those ten minutes . It was done intentionally" Sai said side eyeing Maya.

Veer whispered. " Aj toh Maya ki shammat ane wali hai."

Krishav slowly lifted his head towards Maya and shouted." YOU'RE SUSPENDED FOR 2 WEEKS MAYA. AND GET ME THE RIGHTS REPORTS IN 1 HOUR"

"Y-yes sir" Maya said and ran from the cabin.

"Thank you Sai" Krishav Said.

Said nodded and went from there.

Veer stood near the glass window of his cabin. Watching the street.

He was back.

To take his revenge.

To bring the light of his life.

To bring his little princess back.

Veer called his PA."Nitin! Com to my cabin. NOW."

The person on the other side responsed." Yes Sir. I'll be there in 2 minutes" the call disconnected.

Veer leaned back in his chair.

This was the calm before the storm arrive.

The door opened. Nitin entered.

"Sir!?"

Veer said." I want you to search the family background of Sai Rajavnshi."

Nitin's eye widened. Shock flickering in his face. " S-sir sai rajvanshi? The daugh-" before he could finish a sharp voice echoed in the room.

"I.asked.you.to.do.something. I need the history in next two hours. Now.GET.OUT." Veer said sternly.

Nitin nodded and went from his cabin.

Veer whispered watching his cabin." Few more days princess! Nd your bhai will bring you back by hook or by crook."

After 2 hours.

Veer sat alone in the cabin.

The office lights glowed softly behind him, but for him, the world had gone dark.

Before him lay the file. Her life. Every line, every word—carefully recorded by people who had never loved her.

He opened it.

And the first page almost made him drop it.

“Subject: Sai Rajvanshi. Family: emotionally unavailable. Childhood marked by neglect.”

Neglect.

A word so small… yet heavy enough to crush a lifetime.

Veer’s chest tightened.

He turned the page.

“After the tragic accident, subject lost familial affection. Adopted daughter given preferential treatment. Subject isolated, harassed emotionally.”

His hands trembled.

Harassed. Isolated. Unloved.

He could see it all. Every tear she must have cried in silence.

Every night she must have curled up wishing someone—anyone—would notice her pain.

And he… he had been gone.

He slumped into the chair.

The city lights outside blurred.

Memories he didn’t have, but somehow felt, surged in his chest.

A little girl. Alone. Watching her parents smile at another child while she vanished into the shadows. A soft voice calling for love that never came. A heart learning to survive without warmth.

Veer’s breath hitched.

“Subject displayed extreme silence, avoidance of affection, internalized trauma. Never expressed resentment, continued seeking love from family despite repeated rejection.”

He swallowed hard.

She waited.

She waited for love from

people who never wanted her.

Years.

Years of heartbreak.

And he… he hadn’t been there to stop it.

His hands clenched into fists.

Tears streamed down his face.

Hot, unstoppable, angry and helpless all at once.

“She tried…” he whispered brokenly.

“She smiled… while the world turned its back on her. She hoped… she prayed… for love she didn’t deserve to wait for…”

The tears blurred the file in his hands.

“I wasn’t there.”

His voice cracked. “I wasn’t there to hold you. To protect you. To tell you… that you were never alone…”

The room was silent, but Veer could feel every year of her suffering pressing against him like a physical weight.

“She cried alone. She was unloved. Replaced. Pushed aside. Every moment… she deserved better…”

And somewhere deep in his chest, his heart fractured again.

Veer slammed his hands on the desk.

Anger. Guilt. Sorrow. All at once.

“I promised…” he whispered, voice breaking, barely audible.

“I promised I’d be there. I promised I’d protect you. And I failed…”

A long pause.

The truth hit him like a storm.

Not just the neglect. Not just the loneliness.

But the fact that she had waited all these years… alone…

for something she thought would never come.

His fists shook.

His knees buckled.

He could feel the weight of every tear she had ever cried, every bruise the world left on her soul.

And his heart broke anew.

“No one… will ever hurt you again.”  Veer’s voice was barely more than a whisper, yet it carried the force of a vow stronger than any law, any rule, any obstacle.

“If the world forgot you… if they abandoned you… I will never. Not ever.”

He gripped the file like it was her fragile heart.

“I will make up for every tear… every lonely night… every moment they failed you.”

And somewhere, unseen, unseen by anyone…

Krishna watched.

A silent, gentle smile. Because even in heartbreak… destiny had not abandoned them. The brother is back who once vowed to protect his blood.

Veer lowered his head onto the desk.

And whispered through his tears:

"Get ready to pay for all the tears my sister had shed in these years Rajavnshi's. The came is officially begun."

“And in that siThe morning didn’t feel ordinary.

"The destiny finally walks in Disguise." To bring the sister back. To protect the vow of a brother.
